A look out of the window... oh, no! Snow. Tons of the stuff. Slushy, cold, wet and miserable (sounds a bit like the opposition on the Council). Why does the election season coincide with the foulest weather of the year? Two years ago the local authority elections took place in June. Canvassing and leafleting in late April and May was so much more pleasant. Longer evenings, warmer weather, the joys of spring. Never mind all these Power Commission recommendations on democratic engagement... I want to start the Campaign for June Elections.
